We want to be happy

Relief International - Schools Online Community Based Learning and Action Center organized a series of activities for children as part of a projected entitled, 'We want to be happy.' The events were held at UNRWA schools for 10–13 year-olds and the goal of the project was to give those students the opportunity to express themselves through games, stories, writing, drawing and competitions.

The school students of Nablus are in real need of such a project, through which they can address the frustration they feel due to the difficult situation in their home town. The project, which comprised ten sessions, took place over one month and was coordinated by Al Najah University social studies student Shurouq Abu Ghdaib.

The project has been proven a great success. Participants greatly enjoyed the activities and have asked for further such projects to be delivered. There are plans to implement this project in other schools and reach out to higher numbers of students.
